The 2003 annual meeting

The 168th annual General meeting of Worcester City Chess Club was held on 29 May at St. Stephen's Church Hall. The President, Dr Ray Collett, thanked members for one of the most successful season's for several years. The first team were runners-up to Halesowen in County League Division 1. A few weeks later Worcester Bishops clinched the Worcester & District Team Knock Out Competition my defeating Malvern Dolphins (for a match report click here). Winners of internal competitions held in 2002-3 were presented with trophies. See "newer news" for pictures.
