Chess Rankings Out for Worcester Players

The English Chess Federation (ECF) has just released the latest update of the English chess grading list. Four City players are among the most active players in the country: John Clark, Ray Collett, Andrew Farthing, and Peter Kitson being category A players.

These grades are for games played with a time control longer than 60 minutes for the complete game (standard play). The categories are: A players who have played 30 or more than gradable games in the last season; B players who have played 30 or more gradable games in the last two seasons and 20 or more in the last season; C players who have played 30 or more games in the last three seasons and more than 10 in the last season; D players who have played 15 games or more in the three last seasons and at least 1 in the last season; E players who have played 9 or more gradable games in the last three seasons and at least 1 in the last season; - indicates players who are not classified as active players because they have not played sufficient games to enter any of the categories A to E.
