Division 2 was headed by Wolverhampton and Boldmere teams.
Division 3 was won by Birmingham Checkmates.

14 Aug. Stourbridge chess players took on the public at Costa Coffee Chess Challenge at Costa's Ryemarket outlet. Julie Wilson said only a few members of the public were courageous enough to play for their free coffee, but the event was a success. See report in Stourport News
25 May. Emplyees from Dotted Eyes, Harris Business Park, Bromsgrove donated a giant chess set to Charford first school, Bromsgrove. See report in Stourport News.
29 & 30 Jan. 15th Dudley Spectrum Congress. The Premier tournament was won by Tomasz Sygnowski (West Bromwich) winning all five games. Nigel Collings (Wolverhampton) and John Pakenham (Warley Quinborne) shared 3rd place in the Minor tournament.
