Andrew Farthing retains Ball cup in 2012 finalFinalIan Truscott 0 - 1 Andrew Farthing The game was played 22 May. Semi-final DrawThe draw for the semi-finals is as follows (first-named player has White in the first game). 28 April. Andrew Farthing (Worcester City) reports that Ian Truscott (Greenlands) won a tense struggle with Tony Shaw (Malvern) to claim a place in the final. The draw for colours in the final is to be determined by the total number of goals scored in the football Premier League on Sat, 28 April. If the number is odd Ian will have white, whereas if the number is even Andrew will have black. Quarter Final DrawPlayer with White named first. Games are scheduled to be completed by 1st March 2012. Ian Clack 1 - 0 Giles Stanton Qualifying StagesThe draw for the qualifying groups was carried out by ranking the players in grade order and then ‘slicing’ the list into three groups of four. A name was drawn at random from each of these three pools and placed in each qualifying group. In this way, the strength of the three groups should be roughly similar, but the spirit of a Cup competition (the “luck of the draw”) was retained. The tables were completed by drawing for colour for each game.
